IB PYP

The International Baccaleaureate® Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).The IB PYP is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3 to 12. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom, in the community and in the world outside. It is defined by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored through knowledge and skills derived from six subject areas, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning. The IB PYP curriculum supports and encourages students to develop the essential concepts, the skills, the knowledge, the attitudes and the ability to act, in order to become real-life learners, sustainabilty-aware and globally-minded, international citizens. Throughout their years in IB PYP, students develop the characteristics of the IB Learner Profile.; they become more and more open-minded, balanced, reflective, principled, knowledgeable, caring, inquirers, thinkers, risk-takers and strong communicators.
